Below are some frequently asked questions about the Knucklebone:
Q: My Knucklebone screen looks clouded, is there a screen protector? A: Yes, there is often a temporary screen protector on a new Knucklebone that can be removed before use.
Q: Why are there already rolls in the “Roll Count” field of my new Knucklebone? A: You can think of your “Roll Count” like a car’s odometer. It always increases! Even a new car has a few miles on the odometer that were accumulated during final testing and transport. The small amount of rolls you see in the “Roll Count” field were accumulated during final quality testing of your Knucklebone!
Q: Why does my screen flash black/white every so often? A: When your Knucklebone is left idle for awhile it will enter into a deep sleep. When it wakes up after a button press, it does a full black/white screen refresh. This is common practice for ePaper displays and keeps the display healthy!
Q: Does the USB port charge my battery? A: No, the Knucklebone is powered off of two AAA batteries that will need to periodically be changed.
Q: When should I change my battery? A: If your Knucklebone fails to respond to key presses or constantly resets the screen on button pushes, that is a good indicator that the batteries should be replaced.
Q: How do I use the Knucklebone? A: Read through the Quick Start Guide that came with your Knucklebone. Similar instructions are found at www.theknucklebone.com
